Tobit answered, “It would only be just, my son, for him to receive half of all that he brought back.”
Tobit said, “He deserves, my child, to receive half of all that he brought back.”
Tobit answered, Give him half of what he helped you bring back. He well deserves that.
But, father, I ask thee [or But I ask thee, father], that is, I beseech thee, that thou pray him, if peradventure he shall vouchsafe to take to him (or for himself) the half part of all (the) things, whatever things be brought hither.
The old man said, “He deserves it.”
Tobit replied, “He deserves, my son, to receive half of all that he brought back.”
Tobit said, ‘He deserves, my child, to receive half of all that he brought back.’
Tobit answered, “It is right, my son, for him to receive half of everything that he had when he came back.”
Tobit answered, “It is only fair, son, that he should receive half of all that he brought back.”
The old man said, “He deserves it.”
Tobit said, ‘He deserves, my child, to receive half of all that he brought back.’
